Bill Maher was briefly annoyed by his guest’s declaration that cancel culture is over on his Club Random podcast.

Louis C.K. has returned to touring and producing his own projects, and Maher thinks he should be able to return.During the interview, Louis C.K. was mentioned. The comedian was largely evicted by Hollywood after being accused of sexual misconduct.

Burr previously addressed Carano’s firing in 2021, contradict his co-star and saying he’d have to “watch what the fuck I say.”

Even though he’s sorta persona non grata — Louis has been more active in of late years … winning a Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2022 for his special, “Sincerely Louis CK.

Maher was complimenting Burr’s show as John F. Kennedy in Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted movie and Maher compared Burr’s success in movies and TV to that of comedian Louis C.K., minus the harm of numerous gigs due to sexual misconduct

“I mean, don’t find me started on that,” Maher said. “Isn’t it time everybody just went: ‘OK, It wasn’t a cool thing to do, but it’s been long sufficient and welcome back.’ sufficient! it’s not the end of the world.

Maher then held up the ashtray and the two began debate the amount of stuff people can accumulate, not decided on whether cancel culture is dead, but seemingly in sync that as a subject between friends it definitely was.

The two then found a topic to disagree on when Burr declared that cancel culture is a thing of the past. Even even if he’s sorta persona non grata — Louis has been more active in recent years … winning a Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2022 for his special, “Sincerely Louis CK.” He was nominated again in 2023 for his work in “Sorry,” ravage to Dave Chappelle’s “The Closer.”

Burr previously worked with Gina Carano, who was fired from The Mandalorian over controversial social media posts

Louis self-financed his latest film, “Fourth of July,” releasing the project on his own … receiving mixed reviews. Clearly, the two Bills remain in his corner as allies.
